The Venezia Giulia Malvasia by Skerk is a pure malvasia, strongly aromatic but at the same time delicate.Fruity and floral white, it stands out for its surprising minerality, which derives from the karst soil in which it was born and from the maturation in the cellars dug entirely into limestone. Vitovska Skerk, organic, gorgeous skin macerated wine, rich, complex, savoury, heavy golden colour, lovely stuff! Vitovska is actually a cross between Prosecco Tondo and Malvasia Bianca Lunga. Skerk's example of the grape is made from organic fruit grown on 'Tufa' soils in the Carso, an area of North East Italy with a very Slavic influence. The Skerk family winery just so happens to be located in an Ograda, which was formerly a vineyard of Vitovska, Malvasia and Glera grapes. The idea behind our wine Ograde is to bring together all the best grapes from the smallest vineyards (from Ograde), cultivated mainly using indigenous varieties like Vitovska, Malvasia, Sauvignon and others.
